Clinical Tip

Both are crown-down constant-taper .04/.06 matrices run around 500 RPM. Vortex Blue uses file-specific torque values and blue heat treatment (manufacturer reports a 65% cyclic-fatigue gain over M-Wire); EdgeFile X7 runs a single torque setting in Fire-Wire wire with no shape memory, so files can be pre-bent. Choose Vortex Blue for the studied original, X7 when pre-bendability and a single motor setting matter.
