Clinical Tip

Both are Dentsply Sirona rotary systems, but with different geometry. ProTaper Next finishes most canals with two M-Wire files (X1, X2) whose off-centred section swaggers at 300 RPM; Vortex Blue is a blue heat-treated crown-down .04/.06 matrix (15–50) at 500 RPM with file-specific torque. Choose ProTaper Next for a short progressive sequence, Vortex Blue when you want to pick taper and size per canal.
