### Glide Path

1. **Glide Path Preparation** — Prepare the glide path with hand K-files before introducing rotary instruments. Confirm patency and establish working length.
   - A confirmed glide path to at least #10 K-file is recommended before using iRaCe rotary files
   - FKG ScoutRaCe files may also be used for mechanical glide path preparation
   - Irrigate copiously before starting the rotary sequence
   - ⚠ Do not introduce rotary files without a confirmed glide path

### Shaping

1. **Standard Sequence: R1 to Working Length** — Introduce R1 (15/.06) in rotation and reach working length. Use long back-and-forth gentle strokes with light touch. Work 3-4 seconds in a row, withdraw, clean the blade, and irrigate the canal. If R1 does not reach working length, do not force — switch to the iRaCe Plus protocol (per IFU). _(File: R1 · 600 RPM · 1.5 Ncm · Continuous rotation with gentle back-and-forth strokes)_
   - Let the instrument do the work; do not apply heavy apical pressure (per IFU golden rules)
   - Work 3-4 seconds at a time, then withdraw (per IFU golden rules)
   - If R1 cannot reach working length, switch to iRaCe Plus (R1a + R1b) before continuing
   - ⚠ Do not force R1 if it does not reach working length — switch to iRaCe Plus protocol (per IFU)
2. **R2 Shaping to Working Length** — Continue shaping with R2 (25/.04) up to working length. Clean and irrigate between instruments. _(File: R2 · 600 RPM · 1.5 Ncm)_
   - Same back-and-forth technique as R1
   - Irrigate and recapitulate with a small hand file between rotary instruments

### Finishing

1. **R3 Final Shaping to Working Length** — Finish shaping with R3 (30/.04) up to working length. Final irrigation and verification. _(File: R3 · 600 RPM · 1.5 Ncm)_
   - R3 achieves a final apical preparation of ISO 30 with .04 taper
   - For canals requiring larger preparation, additional FKG RaCe files (35/.04, 40/.04) may be considered
   - After R3, irrigate and verify working length before obturation

## Clinical Tips

- All iRaCe files operate at 600 RPM and 1.5 Ncm (per IFU). FKG speed/torque chart shows 400 RPM minimum, 600 RPM optimal.
- The iRaCe Plus sequence (R1a 20/.02 + R1b 25/.02) is for difficult cases: narrow, severely curved, or calcified canals where R1 (15/.06) cannot reach working length (per IFU).
- After R1a and R1b reach working length, continue with the standard R2 and R3 to complete preparation.
- Golden rules (per IFU): long back-and-forth gentle strokes; light touch, let the instrument work; 3-4 seconds at a time, then withdraw, clean blade, and irrigate.
- Alternating cutting edges reduce screw-in tendency (per brochure).
- Electropolished surface may improve corrosion resistance (per brochure).
- Safety Memo Disc (SMD) provides visual usage tracking: pull off 1 petal per simple case, 2 per medium case, 4 per difficult case (per IFU).
