## Protocol

### Glide Path

1. **Access Cavity and Glide Path** — Take a preoperative radiograph to assess canal anatomy and establish estimated working length. Create straight-line access to expose canal orifices. Use One Flare (25/.09) for coronal pre-flaring if needed. Establish a glide path to at least #15 K-file using manual K-files or One G (14/.03) mechanical glide path file.
   - One Flare (coronal flaring) and One G (glide path) are recommended companion instruments per the IFU procedure pack
   - Confirm working length with apex locator and radiograph before shaping
   - Irrigate with sodium hypochlorite during glide path establishment
   - ⚠ Do not use One RECI without first confirming a reproducible glide path
   - ⚠ The IFU states One RECI should not be used in retreatment

### Shaping

1. **Shaping with One RECI** — Select the appropriate One RECI size based on canal anatomy and desired final preparation. Irrigate thoroughly with sodium hypochlorite. Introduce One RECI with a progressive movement in three waves (3 up-and-down movements) combined with an upward circumferential filing movement. When resistance is felt, perform circumferential brushing movements to remove larger interferences. Withdraw, clean flutes, irrigate, and check patency. Repeat until working length is reached. _(File: 25/.04 (standard) or size per clinical judgment · Reciprocating (170° CCW / 60° CW) · N/A (reciprocating angles) · Three-wave progressive movement with circumferential filing)_
   - The 25/.06 size provides more coronal taper and may be selected for canals needing wider preparation
   - Smaller sizes (20/.04) may be considered for narrow or severely curved canals
   - Larger sizes (35/.04, 45/.04) may be considered for wider canals or when additional apical enlargement is desired
   - Clean the instrument flutes after each insertion cycle
   - ⚠ Do not force the instrument apically; use progressive wave movements only
   - ⚠ If significant resistance is encountered, withdraw, irrigate, and recheck patency before continuing
   - ⚠ Single-use instrument; do not reuse across patients

### Finishing

1. **Final Irrigation and Obturation** — After reaching working length, perform thorough final irrigation with sodium hypochlorite and EDTA. Dry the canal with paper points and obturate with a gutta-percha master cone matching the preparation size. Warm vertical compaction or cold lateral condensation may be used.
   - Check apical patency before final irrigation
   - Use a gutta-percha cone matching the One RECI preparation size (.04 or .06 taper)
   - Irrigate thoroughly between each instrument passage

## Clinical Tips

- One RECI uses reciprocating motion at 170° CCW / 60° CW angles (per IFU). A reciprocating endodontic motor with programmable angles is needed.
- The patented asymmetric cross-section is designed for cutting efficiency while maintaining canal-centering ability.
- C.Wire heat treatment may provide improved flexibility and cyclic fatigue resistance compared to conventional NiTi (per brochure).
- The three-wave progressive technique (3 up-and-down movements with circumferential filing) is the IFU-recommended approach.
- Five sizes are available (20/.04, 25/.04, 25/.06, 35/.04, 45/.04), allowing size selection based on canal anatomy.
- The IFU procedure pack includes One Flare (coronal pre-flaring), One G / K-Files (glide path), and One RECI (shaping) as a complete workflow.
- Single-use, sterile instrument; supplied in sterile blister packaging.

## Warnings

- Single-use instrument; do not reuse (per IFU: reuse decreases performance and safety characteristics, risk of fracture)
- Do not use in retreatment (per IFU)
- Do not use without first establishing a glide path
- Check the instrument state before use between each canal; if damaged or showing signs of wear, do not use
- Contains nickel-titanium; do not use on patients with known nickel or titanium allergy
- Do not use on children under 2 years of age (ethylene oxide used in sterilization)
- Do not use if packaging is damaged or past expiry date
- In cases of complex anatomy, per-operative risks (breakage, ledge, stripping, zipping) may occur

## Contraindications

- Retreatment cases (per IFU)

## Best for

- single-file reciprocating simplicity
- efficient shaping with multiple size options
- curved canals with C.Wire flexibility
