## Protocol

### Glide Path

1. **Glide Path with .01 Taper Files** — After establishing coronal patency with a hand K-file, use ProDesign Logic .01 taper glide path files (25/.01 or 30/.01) at 350 RPM and 1.0 Ncm to create a mechanical glide path to working length. Insert the file gently and passively; do not force apically (per IFU). _(350 RPM · 1.0 Ncm)_
   - The .01 taper glide path files are available from size 25 to 50 (per IFU)
   - CM Wire allows pre-bending for curved canals — file does not spring back to original shape
   - Irrigate copiously and frequently during the procedure (per IFU)
   - ⚠ Never force ProDesign Logic files apically — insert gently and passively (per IFU)

### Shaping

1. **Shaping with Serie 03 or Serie 05** — Choose Serie 03 (.03 taper, 600-950 RPM, 2.0 Ncm) for conservative preparations or Serie 05 (.05 taper, 950 RPM, 2.0-4.0 Ncm) for standard preparations. Shape sequentially from size 25 upward to working length. Additional .04/25 and .06/25 files are available for specific taper needs.
   - Serie 03 at 600-950 RPM and 2.0 Ncm for conservative canal preparations (per IFU)
   - Serie 05 at 950 RPM; 25/.05 at 2.0 Ncm, 30-40/.05 at 4.0 Ncm for standard preparations (per IFU)
   - The .03/15 file operates at 350-950 RPM — lower speed for initial coronal scouting (per IFU)
   - CM Wire controlled memory alloy can be pre-bent to match canal curvature without springing back
   - ⚠ Do not use rotational speed other than that suggested in the IFU (per IFU)
   - ⚠ For better performance, torque control is recommended as per the IFU speed/torque table

### Finishing

1. **Final Shaping and Irrigation** — Complete the preparation with the largest file that reaches working length with engagement. Irrigate copiously. Verify working length before obturation.
   - Serie 05 files up to 40/.05 provide wider apical preparation when needed (per IFU)
   - The 25/.06 file offers a higher-taper alternative for cases requiring more coronal flare (per IFU)
   - After shaping, irrigate thoroughly before obturation

## Clinical Tips

- ProDesign Logic uses Controlled Memory (CM) NiTi wire (IFU describes the product as "Controlled Memory Rotary Nickel Titanium Files"). CM Wire files can be pre-bent to match canal curvature and will not spring back.
- Speed and torque vary by file: .01 glide path at 350 RPM / 1 Ncm; Serie 03 at 600-950 RPM / 2 Ncm; Serie 05 at 950 RPM / 2-4 Ncm (25/.05 at 2 Ncm, 30-40/.05 at 4 Ncm per IFU table).
- Available in 21mm and 25mm lengths only — 31mm lengths are not available (per IFU).
- The system integrates glide path (.01 taper) and shaping (.03/.05 taper) into a single product family, eliminating the need for a separate glide path file system.
- Single patient use only; sterilize before first use at 121°C for 20 minutes (per IFU).
- Do not use sodium hypochlorite solution as a disinfectant for the files themselves (per IFU). NaOCl is used for canal irrigation, not instrument disinfection.

## Warnings

- Single patient use only (per IFU)
- Never force ProDesign Logic files apically — insert gently and passively (per IFU)
- Do not use in cases of severe and sudden apical curvatures — heightened risk of separation (per IFU)
- Contains nickel — do not use on patients with known nickel allergy (per IFU)
- Do not use rotational speed other than that suggested in the IFU speed/torque table
- Sterilize before use: autoclave at 121°C, 20 minutes, 1.20 Kgf/cm² (per IFU)
- Do not use after expiration date; shelf life 3 years from manufacture (per IFU)

## Contraindications

- Severe and sudden apical curvatures (per IFU)
- Known nickel allergy (per IFU)

## Best for

- pre-bendable controlled memory flexibility for curved canals
- integrated glide path + shaping in one product family
- dual taper series (.03 conservative, .05 standard) for clinician choice
