Clinical Tips
Adaptive motion: rotation (600° CW) when unstressed, reciprocation (370° CW / 50° CCW) under load
R-Phase NiTi is twisted (not ground) — preserves grain structure, reduces microfractures
Files can be pre-curved using endo cold spray (cools to martensite phase)
SM1 doubles as a flexible glide path file for either sequence
TF Adaptive generates 58% less apical debris extrusion compared to WaveOne
Color-coded traffic light system: Green = Go, Yellow = Continue/Stop, Red = Stop
8:1 contra-angle handpiece required
Available in 23mm and 27mm lengths only
Warnings
- REQUIRES Kerr Elements Motor or elements e-motion — do not use with standard rotary motors
- Motor must be set to TF Adaptive program mode — never use continuous rotation
- Contains nickel — do not use on patients with nickel allergy
- File unwinding is a cautionary sign — reduce hand pressure or discard
- Inspect for distortion or deformation before each use
- Do not leave file at working length under load — advance and withdraw
