Clinical Tip

ProTaper Ultimate runs a Slider–Shaper–Finisher sequence of variable-taper files at 400 RPM and combines three heat treatments across one sequence (M-Wire Slider, Gold Shaper and F1–F3, Blue FX/FXL for large canals). EdgeFile X7 is a fourteen-file constant-taper .04/.06 crown-down matrix (17–45) in Fire-Wire wire with no shape memory, so files can be pre-bent, run on one torque setting at 300–500 RPM. Choose ProTaper Ultimate for the graduated variable-taper technique, X7 when you want to pick tip size and taper independently.
