Clinical Tip

These do different jobs and are more often used together than chosen between. One Flare is a single 25/.09 coronal pre-flaring instrument at 250–400 RPM, used to reduce interference at the canal entrance before shaping begins. EdgeOne Fire is a reciprocating shaping sequence at 150°/30° that carries the canal to its final apical size. If you are weighing them as alternatives, the real question is which coronal opener precedes your shaping file — not which of the two shapes the canal.
