Protocol
1
1. Canal Assessment
Evaluate canal anatomy with radiograph. Establish patency with #10 K-file.
2
2. Glide Path
Create glide path with #15 K-file to working length.
3
3. Kedo-S: Canal-Specific File Selection
D1 (#25, Red) for narrow canals (MB/ML/DB). E1 (#30, Blue) for wide canals (distal/palatal). U1 (#40, Black) for anterior teeth. 250-300 RPM, 2.2 Ncm, brushing motion.
4
4. Kedo-S Plus: Single-File Protocol
P1+ for posterior (molar canals). A1+ for anterior teeth. 250-300 RPM, 2.2 Ncm.
5
5. Irrigation
NaOCl between files. 17% EDTA gel as lubricant during instrumentation.
6
6. Obturation
Metapex or ZOE-based material.
Clinical Tips
- •Use 250-300 RPM, 2.2-2.4 Ncm torque
- •Apply light apical pressure with brushing motion
- •Color coding: D1=Red (narrow), E1=Blue (wide), U1=Black (anterior)
- •Advance in short movements (2-3mm)
- •Do not force beyond the apex
Warnings
- ⚠Do not advance beyond the apex due to physiologic root resorption
- ⚠Do not apply excessive torque
- ⚠Dentin walls are thin - advance carefully
