Protocol

1

1. Canal Assessment

Evaluate primary tooth root canal anatomy and root resorption status with radiograph. Determine working length.

2

2. Glide Path

Create glide path with #10-15 K-file to working length. Confirm canal patency.

3

3. Shaping

K1 (#20) -> K2 (#25) -> K3 (#30) sequence. K4 (#40) for wider canals if needed. Approx. 300-400 RPM, 1.0-2.0 Ncm torque. Advance in short pecking motions (2-3mm).

4

4. Irrigation

Irrigate with NaOCl after each file change. Final irrigation: NaOCl + 17% EDTA.

5

5. Obturation

Dry canal and obturate with appropriate material (Metapex, ZOE-based, or MTA).

Clinical Tips

  • Use approx. 300-400 RPM, 1.0-2.0 Ncm torque (exact values not specified in manufacturer DFU)
  • Advance in short pecking motions (2-3mm), do not force beyond the apex
  • Irrigate with NaOCl after each file change
  • Enhanced cyclic fatigue resistance via Rainbow Surface Technology
  • ISO color coding: K1=Yellow (#20), K2=Red (#25), K3=Blue (#30), K4=Black (#40)

Warnings

  • Do not advance beyond the apex due to physiologic root resorption
  • Monitor torque limits (approx. 1.0-2.0 Ncm)
  • Single-use instrument — do not reuse
  • Check file integrity before use
  • Primary tooth dentin walls are thin — do not apply excessive pressure

Clinical Notes

  • CM-Wire NiTi alloy (Rainbow surface treatment is a separate technology, not the alloy type)
  • Rainbow Surface Technology — enhanced cyclic fatigue resistance through 3-stage heat treatment
  • Triangular cross-section — efficient cutting and debris removal
  • Variable pitch design — reduces fracture risk
  • Non-cutting safety tip — prevents perforation risk
  • Kids-e-Dental LLP (Mumbai, India) — parent company: Laxmi Dental Limited
  • RPM/torque values are not confirmed in manufacturer DFU; values are general clinical ranges for CM-Wire NiTi pediatric files
