iRaCe® Plus
Extended 4-file sequence (R1a-R1b-R2-R3) designed for narrow and/or severely curved canals where standard iRaCe R1 (15/.06) cannot reach working length — uniform 600 RPM / 1.5 Ncm settings
| File | Tip | Taper | Speed rpm | Torque Ncm |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| R1a | 0.20 | 2% | 600 | 1.5 |
| R1b | 0.25 | 2% | 600 | 1.5 |
| R2 | 0.25 | 4% | 600 | 1.5 |
| R3 | 0.30 | 4% | 600 | 1.5 |
All iRaCe Plus files operate at 600 RPM and 1.5 Ncm (per IFU). FKG speed/torque chart shows 400 RPM minimum, 600 RPM optimal.
iRaCe Plus is indicated when the standard iRaCe R1 (15/.06) cannot reach working length due to narrow, severely curved, or calcified anatomy (per IFU).
The low .02 taper of R1a and R1b may help navigate difficult anatomy more safely than the standard R1 (15/.06).
After R1a and R1b reach working length, continue with the standard R2 and R3 to complete preparation.
Golden rules (per IFU): long back-and-forth gentle strokes; light touch, let the instrument work; 3-4 seconds at a time, then withdraw, clean blade, and irrigate.
Alternating cutting edges reduce screw-in tendency (per brochure).
Electropolished surface may improve corrosion resistance (per brochure).
Safety Memo Disc (SMD) provides visual usage tracking: pull off 1 petal per simple case, 2 per medium case, 4 per difficult case (per IFU).
Single patient use is recommended to avoid cross-contamination (per IFU). If reprocessed, autoclave at 134°C, 2.2 bar, 18 min per EN/ISO 17664 protocol.
