RACE® EVO
Latest evolution of the RaCe family — heat-treated NiTi with blue color, simple 3-file 1-2-3 sequence (glide path + 2 shapers), uniform 800-1000 RPM / 1.5 Ncm settings across all files, up to 2.8x cyclic fatigue resistance vs RaCe
| File | Tip | Taper | Speed rpm | Torque Ncm |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Glide Path 15/.04 | 0.15 | 4% | 800-1000 | 1.5 |
| Shaping 25/.04 | 0.25 | 4% | 800-1000 | 1.5 |
| Shaping 30/.04 | 0.30 | 4% | 800-1000 | 1.5 |
All RACE EVO files use uniform settings: 800-1000 RPM / 1.5 Ncm — no speed/torque adjustments needed between files (RPM per FKG speed/torque chart; torque per IFU).
The heat treatment process gives RACE EVO instruments their characteristic blue color, providing up to 1.4x more flexibility and up to 2.8x greater cyclic fatigue resistance compared to conventional RaCe (per product page, based on internal laboratory data).
Cutting efficiency is reported to be up to 1.5x higher than RaCe due to the triangular design combined with higher rotation speed (per product page).
The alternating cutting edge design, inherited from the original RaCe, reduces the screw-in effect and may improve control during continuous rotation.
Two standard sequence kits are available: 4% kit (15/.04 + 25/.04 + 30/.04) and 6% kit (15/.04 + 25/.04 + 25/.06) — per Schottlander catalogue.
An opening file (25/.08) is available for coronal flaring when needed, plus an extensive range of individual instruments for customized sequences.
The rounded safety tip design facilitates efficient progression along the canal (per product page).
Single use only — dispose properly after use (per IFU).
