XP-endo® Retreatment
Dedicated 3-file retreatment sequence — DR1 active-tip desobturation, XP-endo Shaper gutta percha removal at up to 2500 RPM, and XP-endo Finisher R final cleaning
| File | Tip | Taper | Speed rpm | Torque Ncm |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DR1 | 0.30 | 4% | 800-1000 | 1.5 |
| XP-endo Shaper 30/.04 | 0.30 | 1% (expands to at least 4%) | 1000-2500 | 1.0 |
| XP-endo Finisher R | 0.30 | 0% | 800-1000 | 1.0 |
DR1 operates at 800-1000 RPM / 1.5 Ncm; XP-endo Shaper at 1000-2500 RPM / 1.0 Ncm; Finisher R at 800-1000 RPM / 1.0 Ncm (per IFU).
The Shaper file uses MaxWire alloy — it appears straight at room temperature and expands at body temperature to adapt to canal anatomy.
For retreatment, the XP-endo Shaper is used at higher RPM (up to 2500) compared to primary treatment (800-1000) to help engage and remove filling material.
The Finisher R (ISO 30, zero taper) is a cleaning-only instrument — it does not shape the canal.
All three instruments in this sequence are single use, with a maximum of 4 canals per instrument (per IFU).
